What is an AI agent Artifact?

An AI agent Artifact is a versioned package of selected Markdown and files that preserves an input, deliverable, or handoff outside a single conversation. It can include images and other files.
Does Alignbase route Artifacts automatically?

No. Artifacts are explicit packages. A person or agent chooses when to read or share one.
Are Artifacts instructions for agents?

No. Artifacts carry content but have no instruction authority. Knowledge and Skills handle governed guidance and reusable procedures.
What happens when an Artifact changes?

Each save creates a new immutable full package version. Earlier versions remain available to authorized readers.
Can one agent send an Artifact to another?

Yes. An authorized sender can attach an exact Artifact version to a message. The message stays pinned to that version, while any Viewer or Editor access granted with the handoff covers the Artifact’s history and later versions until someone revokes it.
